Expedition Overview

On this three-month expedition, Woontanara Aid is very grateful and excited to have two American volunteers joining Daria in her work.  Kelly Hopkins from Oregon, and Reed Sullivan from Idaho will team up with Daria and our Guinean staff to build on our current projects in Guinea.

Our team will be expanding our education project which provides scholarships and family support for students while placing them in the best schools we can find.

Daria will also continue to grow our Sewing School at The Home for People with Disabilities, providing the equipment and business training to enable them to support themselves.  The team plans to lay the ground work to create a studio and store front that will house the sewing school. Along with our volunteers and Guinean staff, Daria will also explore other ways to integrate permaculture concepts into local development efforts. All exciting stuff!
