Helping Poor and Orphaned Children
Woontanara Aid has been providing assistance to poor and orphaned children since 2006. Some of our orphaned children live with foster families who are not financially able to enroll them in adequate schools. We provide quality education for these orphaned children by paying for their tuition, uniforms, school supplies and transportation. We also assist foster families by providing them with food and medical support. Learn more >
Home for People with Disabilities Sewing School
Woontanara Aid started a sewing school at the Home for People with Disabilities in March of 2010. Our sewing school started with five teenage girls, one sewing machine and one teacher, Mr. Alama Sangare. We have recently brought in a second sewing machine and have more than doubled our enrollment! Our students are young women whose mother and/or father have a physical handicap and are unable to work. Our future plans include creating a market place for our students to sell items they have made at the school. Learn more >
